I'm kinda wondering exactly how they calculate those A-Spec points for races. A few of the single digit races are actually moderately challenging, and at the same time I've had no trouble winning a handful in the 90's.

More to the point, what are the A-Spec points good for, if anything?

Well, I figured out that much. But is based purely on horsepower? Power-to-weight ratio? Other factors? That's what I wanted to know.

Also, I've been able to completely destroy identical cars in GT4 (something I could never do in GT3, there I was squeeking out the tightest wins at best, and a handfull of races I could never quite beat at all. I did beat the Vitz series, but I still have nightmares about it. Okay, not really). And, no, I don't know that the cars are completely identical, but as far as I know there's no way to tune a car down, and this is before I installed a single upgrade, so if they aren't identical... Well, the AI must make a lot of mistakes, and it sure didn't look like it was driving badly (maybe it just gets flustered when it falls behind or something -- one can only hope that it gets better in the more difficult races).
