Along the way, I also finally fulfilled a life-long (okay, okay, recent) goal of visiting Jusco, since there was one right next to the track stadium out in the distant wilds of southern Chiba (in fact, that was the only place I saw another gaijin the whole time. I guess I've gotten used to that -- these days, it's so unusual to see other gaijin when I'm out doing track stuff, I actually find the experience a bit off-putting).
So, anyway, been plenty busy with track stuff.
In other news, I'm off to Singapore and Malaysia Friday for my birthday and to meet Ai's family and such. I almost screwed up the visa renewal by not applying in time, but thanks to some properly apologetic pleas for mercy at the immigration bureau, we managed to get it expedited, and the approval arrived the day I got back from training camp (unbelievably quickly, trust me). Of course, I still could have left for Malaysia as planned, it's just that returning would have been somewhat... Problematic, since my visa would have expired while I was gone.
Anyway... Behind on everything at the moment. Studying, email, you name it. Probably catch up somewhat in the next few days, but then I'll be away again for ten days, so...
