In the mood: melancholymelancholy

Any clue?
for those who don't read Japanese?

I was at a funeral today, including graveside service, for
Tom Meserole's father. I don't need to worry more about everyone...

(you can email me if you don't want to post it...)

Re: Any clue?
Well, first hint: being able to read Japanese wouldn't really help much here (I haven't been studying Japanese lately, I've been studying something else).

Re: Any clue?
And wow, does google translate comes up with something truly strange when you try to translate it from Japanese to English.

Re: Any clue?
Not that it does a particularly good job of translating it from the correct language, anyway.

Why melancholy?
How peculiar: your writing was fairly understandable, so IMHO you should be happy, esp. considering how long you've been doing it, and yet your mood is melancholy.

I still can't write in Chinese all that well- it takes me hours to write crappy poetry (like 12 to get 16 words right) and my calligraphy is horrible, despite years of practice with either pen or brush. And yet, there was your ni hao so well formed....

Be happy, oh one gifted with foreign language ability!

Re: Why melancholy?
There are actually plenty of mistakes in there, but hey.

And no, it doesn't have anything to do with this. More like with being frustrated with work and thousands and thousands of dollars of surprise dental work.

Re: Why melancholy?
Ahh, well, that would be a downer. 1000s on dental work aint fun.

Mistakes, yes, but not fatal ones. No "I am a wet noodle." or I am a smelly pig or the like. As I implied, I would've been happy with that composition for most of my chinese speaking life; well, not if it had taken me hours to write, but instead flowed nearly unedited to the page.

Re: Why melancholy?
Well, I got a good surprise for a change today, cost $1k less than I expected for one bit (still leaves closer to $10k than $1k total, though, probably).

But I feel like crap and my jaw really hurts... I think they must have injected lidocaine in there fifteen times. And one time they got the nerve direct. Yow!
