I Tried...
...To find a Harley-Davidson dealer in Kawasaki, but apparently the closest is actually the one I saw in Yokohama. Or maybe Shibuya. Ah, well, that was a picture I would have taken.

Also, weekends at the Ramen Museum are a bit crowded (especially holiday weekends?) Fortunately, I was early enough to try a bowl. Unfortunately, I wasn't early enough to try more than one, without waiting, like, a million years. On the good side, with my rail pass, it would be awfully easy to double-hop the Shinkansen there from Tokyo (two stops, barely into the next prefecture) and go back for dinner later this week. I'm really tempted, if I end up with a down day.

Looks like you are having fun there. I'm curious, is the reman museeum like the spam museum in the US? (and i got the post card, thank you for it)

Dunno, never actually been to the Spam museum. I'll post pictures eventually, though, but a web search will probably get you ones just as good, and a decent description.

JR passes, don't you just love them? On my trip to Japan in August I travelled from Nagasaki to Sapporo in 24 hours via JR express and shinkansen, just because I could...

There's a pair of interesting museums in Kure, just south of Hiroshima -- the Yamato museum has a 1:10 replica of the battleship in the foyer, and just across the street is the Japanese Maritime Self-Defence Forces (JMSDF) museum with a real submarine in the car-park (you can't miss it, it's big and black and full of seamen and it's useful to shelter under if it's raining).

Yeah, I've abused them quite a bit, they're great.

As for Kure... I'm on the wrong side of Osaka now, and won't be getting back over this trip, although that sounds pretty cool.
