There are little printed maps for the subway everywhere in Tokyo, but I'm not sure what the deal is here, or maybe I just can't find them, but I haven't seen any at all here. I had to ask one of the station dudes for some maps. Also... The loop isn't as cool as Tokyo's -- it unwinds! No good for wandering around in infinite circles! I wonder if you go the other way... Maybe it just stops, and you still have to change trains. Got an ICOCA card, since I guess I can't use my SUICA card here (well, not on the subway? Maybe on JR? Not really sure, but not as integrated as I'd hoped, I guess they're still working on that -- it's probably inevitable that someday the whole country will be integrated, it's definitely the direction things are going).
Nice looking castle grounds -- I suspect they don't always have so many flowers? There's some sort of chrysanthemum festival going on or something. The castle itself... Well, it looks nice with flowers.
Nice aquarium. Big fishies. Cool jellyfish (but Monterrey Bay has much nice jellyfish section). Weird-ass cool crabs.
Wandered up north, wandered over to the Umeda Sky Building (okay, it's a weird building, but I think it looks good in pictures), wandered around and up and down.
Anyway, today's the worst jet-lag day, although tomorrow might be bad too -- we'll see. Gonna at least stay up until dark, although I'll put off hunting okonomiyaki until tomorrow -- too tired to be hungry. Also, didn't eat at Lotteria today -- they open too late! Ah, well, maybe tomorrow?
Mmm... I think I'm rambling. Did I mention that I'm jet lagged?
