Well, 何ですかん -- Nan Desu Kan for the unfortunate non-Japanese readers -- begins tomorrow. This will be (I believe) the fourth time I've attended, which makes it the longest streak for any conventions other than ConQuesT in Kansas City and MileHiCon here (both at six years -- MileHiCon will probably take the lead this year, not because it's particularly good, but only because it's particularly local). I never thought an anime convention would ever manage a third-place streak. Heck, if not for MileHiCon, it would be two anime cons in a row, with Project A-Kon being my last convention.
Anyway, despite flirting with being utterly broke, I'm looking forward to it, as much because it gets me an excuse for a four-day weekend as for the convention itself. I'm sure it will be fun.
I also got a raise at work. Bad timing, that, but unless you already know why I say that, I'm not going to tell you. Sorry.
