Snow
So they're saying we're supposed to get 10-20 more inches tomorrow.

I love snow (damn, I really do love snow) but crikey, this is ridiculous, especially for this time of year. At this rate, we should be under 10-15 feet of snow by the end of January.

I suppose I'm more annoyed by this frickin' cold. Except for the throat, it's not terrible, but my throat really hurts, and I'm really tired.

And here I'm hating it because we're going to get down to 35 this weekend after a little rain on friday. >_< Now I'm really glad I never went to CSU like I was thinking of doing before everyone I knew wanted to go to UT here in Austin. BTW, I grew up in a town that got to freezing a handful of times from when I was born till when I graduated.

No, you clearly aren't worthy of snow. :-P

I lived in Houston for eight years, and let me tell you, that was hell. Anyplace where it don't snow more than once a decade, that just ain't... civilized.

Houston just ain't right either. At least in Austin we have some threats of snow yearly. Houston is too damn humid and the traffic sucks there anyways. XD

Well, you know, if this started happening regularly, you could blame climate change on it. Everything east of here (and Japan, for that matter, talking to friends there) has been unseasonably warm the last few months, and where do you all that moisture that's falling on us came from, anyway? It ain't locally generated, that's for sure.

Still, you'd get this from time to time anyway due to regular variation, so it doesn't actually mean anything by itself.

Wil's always talking about how great global warming would be (he hates cold, isn't happy unless it's in the 90's). If this became a more normal pattern as the coasts warmed up, I wonder if he'd change his mind, or just move? :)

Oh, incidentally, 53 days on the laptop. It'd be about 400 (i.e., since the day I bought it), but they're always releasing OS/software patches that require reboots (it's only ever been rebooted for patches... I've got two cued up right now). So, eh, whatever.

Linux box is only at 97, though. I suppose we average two or three power outages a year, so that's probably about average.
