Okay, what the hell:

Via amberdine:

If you happen to be working on some creative writing project, fanfiction or NaNoWriMo or what have you, post exactly one sentence from each of your current work(s) in progress in your journal. It should probably be your favourite or most intriguing sentence so far, but what you choose is entirely your discretion. Mention the title (and genre) if you like, but don't mention anything else -- this is merely to whet the general appetite for your forthcoming work(s).
Two by blade -- well, there were two of him now -- three consumed by flames before they could cry out.
-- Unnamed Big Fat Fantasy Trilogy

Not a sentence, technically, but I intentially write choppy prose for action scenes.

Anyway, it's the only WiP I have. And I'm sitting NaNoWriMo out. Again. Too much else to worry about right now.

Via amberdine (hey, stop spreading interesting memes. I want to get back to contemplating my pain, not posting):

1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 23.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the sentence in your journal...along with these instructions.

"びしっ / Bishi! / (effect of the impact of his outspokenness)"

(Mangajin's Basic Japanese Through Comics, Part 2 by, um, the editors of Mangajin, I guess)

It's hard to decide exactly what a sentence is, in context. I counted this as one... It's really the same thing in three different forms.
