Maybe.

Could I squeeze in a massive fantasy trilogy loosely based on the exploits of Napoleon set in faux-Far East Byzantium with a touch of Jesus Christ Superstar, a populist jihad, and everybody's favorite bad guys, the elves?

Maybe. Just maybe.

I'd need to clean a bunch of other stuff off of my plate first, though.

...I've now more or less officially volunteered to help the Nippon2007 convention committee (I'll soon have a specific responsibility and all that good stuff). Soon, exciting grunt work will be in my future! Yay.

This week's top five:

  1. Philadelphia Eagles (6-0)
  2. New England Patriots (6-0)
  3. Indianapolis Colts (4-2)
  4. Minnesota Vikings (5-1)
  5. San Diego Chargers (4-3)

Okay, seeing the Chargers up there is a bit weird, but the computer has so decided. They'll have to win some to stay up there, certainly. Other than that, the top has largely remained static. Big changes for my team this week, though -- after utterly crushing the Falcons, they've jumped up seven places to 16th.

The computer dropped back to a statistically insignificant 6-7 this week (lots of upsets), making it 25-16 overall for the season. This week it predicts:

  • PACKERS @ Redskins
  • Ravens @ EAGLES
  • CARDINALS @ Bills
  • PATRIOTS @ Steelers
  • COLTS @ Chiefs
  • Bengals @ Titans (too close to call)
  • Giants @ VIKINGS
  • LIONS @ Cowboys
  • JAGUARS @ Texans
  • Falcons @ BRONCOS
  • Panthers @ SEAHAWKS
  • Raiders @ CHARGERS
  • 49ers @ BEARS
  • Dolphins @ JETS

Once again, predicted winners are in CAPS. I'm starting to feel a little hope. If the Colts fall, that feeling will be official.
