It's Here!
It arrived via UPS today.

21.2lbs, 3104 pieces, 37" long when assembled.

Man, that's a big box.

Presumably, sometime in the next few weeks/months, I'll find time to assemble it.
In the mood: giddygiddy
Now playing: Dream Theater - Afterlife

I'd contemplate going to your place and stealing it, but i think I'd need a mack truck just to haul that thing home...

A coworker of mine's son has it on top of his giant TV. Where do you plan on displaying that beautiful work of art? XD

No idea. I really don't have anywhere to put it, so maybe it'll just stay in the front room until the cat gets around to destroying it (which probably won't be very long).

Or maybe my bedroom dresser. I had the big Tie Interceptor model on there for quite a while way back when (which the cat did eventually destroy).

The thing is a meter long, so my options are somewhat limited.

If only you could make some kind of transparent harness and have it floating from the ceiling over your living room or something. That would be killer. I was thinking of doing that with all my star wars ships, but with like fishing line or something thinner.

Well, most all of the ones I've already built have been broken down and stuffed in boxes and stuff with the rest of my legos.

Which will eventually happen to this one, too. But we'll see how long it lasts. As for hanging it from the ceiling... Hmmm. I don't think this model would look that good from underneath. It seems to have a hole in the bottom for the frame and such.
