For The Record
NeoOffice won, because for some totally bizarre reason, the installer program in OpenOffice was in French. In other words, somehow I downloaded the wrong package.

Considering that the 1.1.4 core is good enough for me under Windows, I suppose the same is probably true on the Mac as well.

I can't even figure out how I got OO installed. I remember trying to install it, and it not working. Then later I installed X11 (for Eagle) and then later when I tried to open Word documents, out popped Open Office.

Heck if I know.

Did it involve it ending up with its own virtual disk and all that?

Took me a while to figure out what was going on there.

And hey, what happened to that other comment I got in email? Did you delete it afterwards?
Laurel Amberdineamberdine on December 2nd, 2005 06:10 am (UTC)
Yeah, sorry. It had a bad link/tyop and when I read Steve's comments I realized you'd find Audium on OpenSourceMac.com just fine.

If only the comment delete was faster than the email notification!

Anyway, I'm sure it's all the ladybug's fault.

Oh, right, the ladybug.
