What's Wrong With This Picture?  
Okay, so I've mentioned the wayward brick on my Dell. And I mentioned that I ended up buying it from Dell directly online. And how the availability was "1-2 weeks." And I probably didn't mention that I only paid for 5-9 business days shipping, but that's all I paid for. This was all two days ago.

Any guess what just arrived at my door? Two guesses, the first one doesn't count.

How was Dell's service? I'm starting to shop for a laptop, and they're one of the options.

Given that I've still never talked to an actual person at Dell -- fine, I guess (the part did show up weeks earlier than expected, after all).

Three of the last five computers I've bought have been Dells (the exceptions being the recent PowerBook and a Linux server I built from scratch) and I've never actually needed their service (just a replacement part for something I abused to occasional failure), which I suppose speaks in their favor.
