Also, I've linked to the appropriate parts of the stream in the appropriate entries, for anyone reading late, or feeling like a re-read, or whatever.

The set.

For the record, I took 458 pictures on the trip (approximately 100 or so were of the sakura in Ueno Kouen alone :). Of those pictures, 128 made the cut and got posted.

Way cool! It looks (and sounds) like you had a wonderful trip.

I need to introduce you to my friend Justin. Apparently, you and he were looking at the sakura together and didn't know it. Or at least within a few days of each other! :)

Yeah, there was also another person I met at 会話 (Japanese conversation group) that was going, too. Apparently, he was showing up right about when Dusty and I were leaving for Nagano (so he was probably still there when I got back).

I didn't plan on seeing the sakura, that was bonus -- although I extended my trip for that (and a couple other reasons) once I was there.

WOW!

I never realized how visually stunning the city is. There has to be some psychology there. And, is that the Ferris wheel from Godzilla vs Mothra?

Tokyo, or Yokohama?

(Godzilla attacked Yokohama? Or both?)

There are a few ferris wheels around Japan, I guess. The one in Yokohama is probably much newer than that movie. (I don't think I actually took a picture of the one in Odaiba -- also pretty new -- and those were the two I remember seeing off the top of my head.)

eh, I can't remember. It was night and my kid thought the blood was mustard because of the color. More than that is just lost.
